You will need to go to the Learning Launchers that we used last year for your next assignment. Goto Google Classroom for the link, username and password.

Goto the learning launcher found in : LaunchPad > Liftoff Challenges > Scientific Data and Analysis > Google Maps: Exploring Your World. Read through each of the tabs: Challenge, What You Should Know & Do It. Then begin the challenge. Students have been learning about animation using the Pixar in a Box lessons from Khan Academy. They have also created an animated flipbook for the 1st course. This week they continue to learn about animation through the Pixar in a Box series with Khan Academy by completing the course at https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/pixar/modeling-character/modeling-subdivision/a/start-here-character . We also got to use the STEAM lab and created Frames Animations using the Mac Workstations software that they will presenting to the class.

Students have finalized their 3d designs in Tinkercad and I am in the process of printing them. This week they are learning about animation using the Pixar in a box lessons from Khan Academy.

E-learners: You should have completed your Tinkercad design. You can download it to your google drive and share it with me. I will try to print it if the print time is less than 20 minutes. Then goto https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/pixar/animate/ball/a/start-here-animation to learn from a Pixar animator how to animate a ball. The last step in that course is to create an animated flipbook using a postit page and there are some practice questions as well to review what the course was about. Please complete that.

Students have been finalizing their 3d designs in Tinkercad and several have been able to have their designs printed . Their designs were of something that they are missing during this pandemic. Tomorrow they will be having a quiz on Tinkercad that is based on the tutorial and the tools/features they used during the design.

Elearners You should also be creating a design on Tinkercad & sharing it with me to print. If the print time is less than 20 minutes I will be able to print it. 3rd Grade – Students had a tour of the STEAM lab and learned how to access learning launchers which is part of the STEAM lab curriculum. Students have completed & shared their comics. They are learning about Tinkercad and creating designs of something that represents what they missed the most during Covid. We will then be printing the designs on the 3d printer, if they meet the requirements for size & cost.

4th – None. Elearners we are sharing our “Super Digital Hero” comics to the class. Please email evidence to srunge@stjuliana.org when you have completed this. You will also need to complete the “Super Digital Citizen Quiz” found in Google Classroom.

3rd – Students will be sharing their animal paragraphs created using google docs to the class next week.
