All Aboard Room 2…Linked to our new big idea, Transportation is for doing jobs and getting around my community, the children enjoyed going on a bus ride. We encouraged the children to look out the windows on the bus and describe the community places they could see.
The children also enjoyed driving a toy car and stopping for the crossing guard and letting the pedestrians cross the road safely. Great fun!
Distances: Is It Close? Is It Far?…We encouraged the children to decide if something is close, closer, far or farther away. We encouraged the children to work out the distance between different objects on the math mat by counting the squares.
Have a good evening everyone! Enjoy the long weekend. Thank you for all your support this week. Thank you Connor for all your help this week. You were a great right-hand man! Next week, Michael is the teacher helper and we will celebrate Gwen’s birthday!
I know it’s not always easy leaving the house in the mornings but if we could try to arrive by 8.05 am it would be a big help. The bathroom schedule is a little trickier this year so the extra five minutes would really help. The school doors open at 7.55 am. Thank you for all you do!

Saint Juliana Parish Sharing Program: For the past many years, Saint Juliana students have participated in the parish Christmas sharing program. Student Council members collected money from all of the students in the school and then we took them shopping at Target to buy gifts for the sharing program. This year we are not able to take students shopping to buy gifts, but we would still like to participate as a school in the program. We are asking students to make a monetary donation during the week of November 16th-20th. Once we have collected the money from the students we will convert the money into gift cards and donate the gift cards to the missionary team to buy the gifts for the program. The parish program provides gifts for some of the neediest people in our city at a facility run by Catholic Charities. Please send your donation with your child during the week of November 16-20. Donations can be sent in an envelope marked, “Sharing Program” and our 8th graders will collect them. Thank you, Gr. 8 Class of 2021!
