All students in grades K-8 are celebrating International Dot Day in Art Classes this week. The actual day is Wednesday, September 15th, 2021.
All students watched the Dot Day video book then created different age appropriate projects. K, 1st, and 2nd created dot art masterpieces in a frame just like the one in the book. Grades 3, 4, and 5 created radial balanced designs on coffee filters with water based markers. They will spray them with water next week to achieve a tie-dye result. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are creating radial balanced designs on black paper with fluorescent oil pastels. Next week they will view their completed work with black lights to enjoy a glow-in-the dark result. Please see some of the Tuesday classes work in progress below.
