Spelling: The new list of Spelling words went home. The test is Monday, October 25th.

Study for the Spelling test on Monday!

We read a book called “Aaaarrgghh Spider!” and we graphed if a spider would make a good pet. We also wrote about it. Ask your child what they picked.

Homework: Complete Math page and Superkids Backpack page and upload both to Seesaw. Continue to study for the Spelling test on Monday.

The new list of Dolch words went home today along with the flashcards.

We learned some interesting facts about spiders. Ask your child to name a few.

The Halloween note for the party is in the green folder.

Reminders: Gym tomorrow.

 Today at about 3:15 a Sign Up Genius will be sent to your email to sign up for conferences. If you don’t receive it after school, please let me know. Conferences will be 10 minutes each to allow for transition time to the next conference.

Wednesday News 10/13/21

Homework: Math page and upload to Seesaw. We read the book “Whit” in class. The book is in the green folder. Read the book for homework.

Spelling: Study your Spelling words that went home yesterday. The test is Monday.

Review Dolch words. I will retest the kids tomorrow.

Science: Your child is bringing home their Pumpkin Investigation Booklet. We predicted if a pumpkin would sink or float. Ask your child if their prediction was correct.

We also learned some interesting facts about spiders. Ask your child how many eyes a spider has and if they have good eyesight?

Science: We started our Pumpkin Investigation booklet. Ask your child if the wind from a blow dryer was able to move the pumpkin.

Homework: Complete Math page and upload to Seesaw. Your child is coming home with a book called “Fish and Shrimp”. Please have your child read the story daily. A parent guide to help your child read the story is in the green folder.

Review your list of Dolch words that went home last week. I will retest your child on Thursday.

Science: We read the book “Pumpkin Jack” and learned how a pumpkin decomposes over time. We have our own classroom Pumpkin Jack and will observe and write how a pumpkin changes over time. We also learned some interesting facts about pumpkins. Ask your child what color is a Cotton Candy Pumpkin?
