Parent Messages: Please talk to your child about his/her headphones today and ask if they are working. All students should’ve brought a pair of working headphones to school back in August. Small, inexpensive ones can be found at Walgreens or the Dollar Tree. We need these for I-Ready and AR on a daily basis. Please also check in with your student and make sure he/she has multiple clean masks stored in his/her backpack. Please make sure masks are child-sized. I’m having a bit of a problem with students pushing masks under their chins or having masks constantly slip because they are too big. Thank you so much for your help.

Today’s Homework:

Reading: Log. Think about our AR goal…are you reading a good chapter book? How will you earn some points? How will the reading log help you do this? I KNOW you can do it! 🙂

Spelling: Study your words

Math: Lesson 7 homework (we skipped Lesson 6 for now)

This picture is just one of the many reasons I love teaching 3rd grade…:-)

Parents, look for a handout today in your children’s home folders about good fit books. This is a great resource to hang somewhere in the house. Going through these questions with children and/or teaching them to do this themselves helps them pick out books that will be the best fit for them and help them be successful readers.

Today’s Homework:

Reading: Log; vocabulary sheet

Spelling: Turn in your contract tomorrow; be ready for your test.

Grammar: Subjects/Predicates sheet

Room 28 is learning how to work together with partners! Today they worked on completing subjects and predicates together.

Parents, www.arbookfind.com is a great website to use for AR books. Type in any book title and it will tell you if your book is an AR book, what the reading level is, and how many points it’s worth.

Today’s Homework:

Reading: Log (Remember, the log should have 5 days recorded to receive full points)

Spelling: 15 SUPER sentences!

Math: 3 digit addition sheet.
