I am so proud of our class, we have exceeded our goal for cash donations!!!! We are still working towards our food items goal, I’m sure we can do it in the next two days! Thank you again to everyone who has contributed.

We are collecting non-perishable food donations and cash donations all week. We started off the week strong- lets keep it up!!!!

Friday – Reminders and Announcements

Good morning,
I hope everyone got a chance to sleep in a bit!
Just a few reminders:
– Picture day retakes are 11/18
– The food drive will begin Monday, our class is very eager to participate! (cereal peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, pasta and rice are most needed but anything non-perishable is great)
– End of the Trimester is 11/20
– I’ve added just a few more indoor recess one-player games to our amazon wishlist

English – Personal Narrative (students have a copy of the rubric that will be used to grade)
Science – Chapter 2 Test Thursday (we will begin reviewing next week)

Thursday 11/12/20

English – Narrative Essay and Illustration/Picture due (Print if possible, if not we can print the essay in the morning)

SJS will be sponsoring their first Virtual Scholastic Book Fair the Week of November 9-14th. Book pick up will be on Saturday, November 14th from 10:00- 1:00 p.m. in the school parking lot. Below you will be able to click on the link and view a digital flyer and a value pack flyer.

digital flyer (click)– students will be able to view books that will be available to purchase on Saturday, November 14th. Families will drive through and request a specific book that will be available from a few cases that will be brought in on that day.

 Value pack flyer (click): Parents can buy their child a value pack of books. The books that are in the value pack are the most popular age appropriate books.scholastic website – This link will take families to information about both of the fairs – online/virtual and drive through. It also has the link for ewallet. Families can load money on the ewallet for shopping. If they do this, it needs to include tax the $19.99 = $22.04 the $39.99 = $44.09. Families can round to the nearest whole dollar and donate the change to the school using the All for Books program. 
The online/ virtual fair opens November 9 and will stay open until November 22. Families will get free shipping on all orders over $25. Families will be able to shop very similar to an in-person fair. There are some really cool interactive pieces

Next week we begin accepting non-perishable food and cash for the Parish Sharing Program
