Online Assessment for Superkids:  After finishing “Get Well Soon” and workbook page 48, our class has completed Unit 6 in Superkids.  Each student will now take an assessment online at home. This will take the place of our Unit 6 Test that we would normally take in class.  Follow these steps:

  1. You should have received an email from Superkids asking you to set up your child’s online access to Superkids on the parent portal. We will resend again this morning in case you did not receive it.
  2. After completing the initial setup, you may log in to the portal at any time. Go to superkidsreading.com and click the “School and Parent Log-in” link at the top right. Enter your e-mail address and password to log in to the parent portal.
  3. Click on the arrow that says “Log in to the Superkids Online Portal for schools and parents.
  4. On the left-hand corner, there will be a box that says, “Superkids Online Fun”.  Click on this and begin the assessment. Follow the prompts and complete each section.  Do the best that you can. The Spelling portion will not count as a grade so just do your best.  We cannot disable this part but again, it will not count as part of your grade.
  5. Please complete this by Thursday, 4/9/20.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Pr21eQU1rTtZEbKWf_rh4iZ_YtcbAvx/view

Instead of scheduling a Zoom meeting for tomorrow morning, I hope to see you along the route and we’ll meet next week. Enjoy the day!

The following are the directions:  Write a Christian Cinquain Poem on the ice cream paper that came home with the directions. Use the side WITHOUT the ice cream scoops.  Do all in pencil, then trace in a thin marker. Write Christian Cinquain on the top line in the center. Your name goes in the bottom right hand corner.  Follow the directions on how to complete the poem. There are examples included. Trace the poem neatly in marker and you can decorate the paper with religious symbols. Your name goes in the bottom right hand corner.

The Cinquain Poem is due by next Thursday, 4/9/20.  Please upload to Seesaw when finished.  Thank you!

  • Math – Flashcards and a timed-test.  Please print out the attached link.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AHd89Sl3WeCviT-dYRc5s38NJ7TbCQf4/view?usp=sharing

When you give the timed-test, students are given 5 minutes.  They write their name on top, turn their paper over and when you say, “Begin”, turn their page back and begin the test.  When the 5 minutes is up, please have your child stop and give you the paper. It is okay if they don’t finish or if they have difficulty.  We have been away from the classroom and the routine and this may affect them. No worries, the idea is to keep practicing and making progress.  It is all to get them ready for multiplication in 3rd grade.

The timed-test is being done on the honor system.  Please upload to Seesaw when finished.  Thank you!
